This year, Steve Toms celebrates  the privilege of having taught more than 3,500 students.

Site of MNF events

The forum is an opportunity for current students
and graduates to network, attend fireside chats
hosted by business professionals, brush up on
marketing and communications skills, and attend
cultural events, such as chamber music concerts
and wine tastings.

All hosted in Steve Toms' Bellaire home.

Alley Theater's Gershwin's An American in Paris

This past May, MNF has arranged special prices for preview performances of this new exciting
musical premiere. A number of partners and their friends attended the event.

“Mattress Mack” inspires overflow
crowd at fireside chat

More than 30 MNF partners filled Steve's home
to hear renowned business professional 
Jim McIngvale discuss how he built Gallery Furniture,
and the challenges he currently faces.

Judy Young wrote: "Mack was truly inspirational,
and there were also some insightful students
in attendance who asked some great questions
and gave Mack some insightful feedback."

MNF winetastingAfter the chat, MNF partners were feted
to Messina Hof wines.

A crowd favorite was the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon,
a Gold Medal winner at the Houston Livestock Show
and Rodeo.

Brad Smith summed up the evening: "Thank you
Steve for hosting such a great event with a 
long-admired gentleman like Mack. He is a pillar
in this community and is truly inspiring."

MNF partners and their guests enjoyed a preview of one
of Houston's most poignant and memorable concerts.

Ira J. Black introduced the works of 3 Jewish composers
whose works were banned by the Nazis.

Halloween premiere of new film score
for Dracula

More than 100 guests attended the 1931 Bela Lagosi movie
Dracula,  shown with a new music score performed live
by musicians of the Houston Symphony.

Fresh popcorn, sodas, and candy added to the merriment.

Could this become an annual event?.

Music of Astor Piazzola at MNF soireeTangos of Astor Piazzolla

Standing room-only crowds thrilled to the sounds
of Piazzolla's tangos, specially arranged for piano
quartet  (violin, cello, string bass, and piano)
by Kevin Dvorak.

Musicians of the Houston Symphony serenaded
audiences, after which guests enjoyed selected
Malbec wines from Argentina.
